To motivate faculty members to engage in outcome-based research, focusing on the following measurable outcomes:
- Publication of Research Papers
- Execution of Research Projects
- Generation of Revenue through Consultancy
- Filing and Granting of Patents
- To locate and define areas where R&D work can be extensively carried out.
- To collaborate with various departments to formulate a comprehensive plan for laboratory development, enabling R&D activities and facilitating revenue generation through consultancy services.
- To maintain close liaison with industry and undertake sponsored projects.
- To seek collaboration with other R&D Institutions Like IITs, NITs and Regional Colleges for mutual benefits.
- To prepare a comprehensive list of funding agencies that allocate funds for R&D projects
- To prepare project proposals for getting funds from various funding agencies like DST, CISR. SERB, etc.
- To organize National/ International Conferences, Seminars on recent and thrust areas.
- To ensure proper documentation and maintenance of all records pertaining to the activities of R&D Cell.
